Some users have been getting the following error when they install AdBlock from the Chrome Web Store:

NETWORK_FAILED

And when they try to install it from the getadblock.com website, nothing happens.

This is not an issue with the AdBlock extension. It is usually caused by malware, which is preventing you from installing any Chrome apps, extensions, or themes.

We recommend running a full antivirus and antimalware scan of your computer (for example, with Malwarebytes, which is free and safe to install alongside your antivirus), then uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome. Finally, try installing AdBlock again.

If this still does not make any difference, please see the relevant Chrome Support article, or ask for help on the Google Chrome forums.
