@ Rhana
"The article you're referring to concerns Adblock Plus (ABP), which is an entirely unrelated product developed by a different company. We know, the similarity in names is confusing." comment by Rhana / adblock team
No, it is not. The article is about Adblock and if you would have had a look at the article you would know, even if you do not understand German. The article is about adblock by Michael G. and if the rumors are true that he will be bought by the ad mafia to implement "acceptable ads by Eyeo Inc. he can shove his "honor ware" up his ass. Rude words but tacheles.

Hi Caligula,
Acceptable Ads is going independent:
http://www.fastcompany.com/3051749/fast-feed/adblock-plus-defers-to...
A cool move which we are supporting, yes. (But you can easily disable it in your settings if you want, so you see no ads.)
We've also proclaimed our support for the EFF's new Do Not Track privacy standard:
https://www.eff.org/press/releases/coalition-announces-new-do-not-t...
We think those are both good starts toward getting content creators paid for their work while still taking into account privacy and user control. But we appreciate your feedback and really do take it to heart. We're a small team spread around the world in different time zones, but we're all passionate about AdBlock. This is just the first step of many we're taking become less of a hammer and more of a scalpel when it comes to figuring out how the web should be funded.
