So this happened to me on firefox as well after installing a toolbar for google. Looked under add-ons and it was still enabled, but then I went to the pulldown menu under tools, and apparently the downloaded had turned on the "disable everywhere" option. So I just unclicked that and it fixed it. Simple, I know, but I'll post this in the case that someone else is as computer illiterate as myself and doesn't think to check there.

Hi, I have the same issue with Chrome.

When I first installed Adblock everything was fine, but since I had problems with streaming sites (twitch.tv, the video feed wouldn't load) I disabled Adblock via //chrome:plugins.

A few days ago I re-enabled Adblock and now it's simply not working anymore. Ads are not being blocked on twitch.tv and on youtube, the screen stays black but I can clearly hear the ads' sound.

I also tried to uninstall and reinstall Adblock and Chrome, but nothing changed.

    Hi all users,

First, are you able to download Chrome Canary and test, if AdBlock is working normally without changing anything?

Chrome Dev Team has made some changes in browser,
there was some issues with Flash Player, stability of browser (in Chrome Dev and Canary, now it is fixed) and some other issues...

If you want to try Chrome Canary (Chrome Canary will be installed alongside your existing Chrome installation), go to https://www.google.co.uk/intl/en/chrome/browser/canary.html, install it and after that install AdBlock from Chrome Web Store or from getadblock.com

Then just test, if you see ads on YouTube, Pandora etc.
If your test will be complete, just let us know about that, if you see ads or no!

    Thanks,
    Tomáš

Installing Canary worked for me. I still have ads on Chrome, but not on Canary.

It works perfectly on Canary with youtube etc. I'd not even heard of Canary, but everything syncs nicely with the standard Chrome. Thanks for the suggestion.

Canary will not install, keeps saying cannot open and adblock plus will not block youtube ads as of 3 hours ago...quite annoying. Any fix on this?

Just a note "mam": this is AdBlock, not Adblock Plus, an unrelated
extension. If you really meant ABP, then take a look at

    Hi Safari users,

I think that we have fixed YouTube bug in Safari.
If you want to try the fix, install attached build of AdBlock (but first, uninstall your existing AdBlock: Safari -> Preferences -> Extensions -> AdBlock -- Uninstall).

Please, let us know if you still see ads with this fixed AdBlock or not.

    Thanks,
    Tomáš

Currently, the fix is in Chrome 34 Beta, so you can use that if you want
the fix, or you can wait for about 5 weeks until Chrome 34 goes stable.

Safari users - we're working on a fix. Let us know if the attached test
version of AdBlock for Safari from tomasko126 earlier makes it work for you!

Banners still show on youtube videos. Video ads still play on many video sites on Safari. While Adblock Plus for Firefox blocks those.

I have installed the test build you suggested for safari and after a restart it seems to be blocking youtube adds again.

I will report back if it stops doing so.

UPDATE not working on youtube ads again.
