Chrome Dev build seems to block Adblocking
I'm running version Version 31.0.1622.0 dev and it seems that blocking AdBlock from blocking ads. I've noticed this on the WIndows & Mac version.

You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac

It works fine for me on most sites on Ubuntu (Dev channel), and on Windows
(Canary)

It used to work on Facebook and Gmail, not any more since the last build
update.

Problems with Gmail, .etc also happen in stable. We're already working on
this.
