Youtube videos won't Play

Can you provide detailed steps on how to reproduce the problem?

  1. Go to youtube
  2. pick a video
  3. watch the load bar fill while the video refuses to play

What should happen when you do the above steps
Youtube should play the video

What actually happened?
It does not

Do you have any other comments? If you can, can you please attach a screenshot of the bug?

If unchecking all filter lists fixes the problem, which one filterlist must you check to cause the problem again after another restart?

Unchecking does not work

    Does disabling AdBlock in chrome://extensions change this behavior?

    got same problem.

    go to youtube, but videos don't play.

    as soon as i uninstalled adblock, videos started playing again.

    reinstalled, videos stopped playing.

    random — can you please go to AdBlock button -> Options -> SUPPORT -> "Have our team requested some debug info?" and paste it into this discussion?

    It looks like it allows Youtube to play now.

    It doesn’t seem to be blocking any ads on Youtube like it used to, however.

    Is that expected behavior with “EasyList” disabled?

    I have been having the same issues as the two above. I attempted to remove EasyList, but it still refused to play even though the progress bar was completely filled. Here is my debug info:

    Possible Workaround:

    Go to chrome://settings/ click on the Show advanced settings... button. Scroll all the way down to System section and uncheck the Use hardware acceleration when available option. Restart Chrome.

    AdBlock no longer works for YouTube. The videos do not play in HTML5 format (you get an Error message). It seems that YouTube has worked out how to block AdBlock!

    Please ignore my previous message - it's the ClicktoFlash extension that YouTube seems to be blocking, not AdBlock.

    Hi, I'm having similar issues with ABP; I can only get the audio in the videos, but when I disable AB the problem is gone.
    Is there any way to solve this without having to disable it?
