Hi,
Thanks for your reply. The quote of AdBlock's first massage didn't get through. It should read:Then, I find on AdBlock

Thanks, I'm looking for your solution.Greg

Hi all,
Apologies for the super late reply! We're mostly volunteers or part-timers here at AdBlock support, and it just so happened that most of us were unavailable for the past few weeks.
In the meantime, our developers have squashed a bunch of bugs and released a couple of updates. Please make sure that AdBlock is up-to-date (the current version is 2.15), and that you've installed all the latest updates for your browser.
If you are still experiencing this issue after updating everything, please reply to this discussion and we'll get back to you as quickly as possible!

Hi,
I use v. 2.15 and, as far as I know, up to date; couldn't find though how to check for updates.
I encountered a similar issue in my other browser, Waterfox. I installed v. 1.1.1 here but can't add it to the right click menu. Here I'd like to block a different ad but also in Yahoo mail.
In Waterfox I've found and installed Adguard 1.0.3.6; noticed that this a product of the same team, I don't know if the support is the same or not. With Adguard, (at this different ad but also on Yahoo.mail) I experience the same: can be blocked but returns when the site is open next time.

Hi Greg,
Can you please attach a screenshot with the ad you are trying to block?
Please however note that Adguard is not a product of the AdBlock team.

Hi,
Please find enclosed the screenshots of both the ad and what AdBlock shows when blocking it.
As mentioned, I can do this blocking, even though temporarily, because Adblock in Torch (Chrome) offers to put it on the right click menu. However, it doesn't in Waterfox (Firefox). How can I do the same in that browser?
Thanks.

Hi Greg,
We've recently released a new 2.0 version for Firefox, which now includes the right-click menu items. We recommend that you update to that version as it also includes major performance improvements.
As for the ad that you are trying to block, does it make any difference if you uncheck the "id will be yui_…" checkbox when blocking it (as seen on your second screenshot)?

Hi Neelfyn, Happy New Year,
No difference if I uncheck the box that you mentioned.
Adblock v. 2 for Firefox doesn't show the right click menu item in my system, please find enclosed the screenshot.

Sorry, the file didn't make, hope it will now.

Happy new year to you too, Greg!
I'm very sorry for the confusion, we did have this feature in our internal version, but I've checked with our developers, and it is indeed not part of the released 2.0 version due to some issues with it.
You should however be able to manually block ads on Firefox by clicking the AdBlock button > Block an ad on this page.
About the ad you were trying to block on Yahoo — "Max Ma" seems to be an actual person who takes pictures on Flickr, and there is a tooltip that says "Show or hide the Postcard Gallery" on your screenshot. Are you certain that it is an ad, and not a feature of the website that can be disabled or closed?

Hi Neelfyn,
If I click the AdBlock icon in Watrefox I get the window to block, when, however, I click on the ad (in lower left corner), as requested, nothing happens. This ad is similar to Max Ma's in Torch but not the same. Please find enclosed the screenshot.
Both appear in Yahoo mail but I can't find any way to disable or close them. This is sure an ad in two important aspects: it offers something that I don't want; and it can be blocked by AdBlock, at least in one of the two browsers and for the ongoing session only.

Hi Greg,
Can you please go to AdBlock button > Options > Customize, then click Edit next to "Manually edit your filters", and add the following filter to the large textbox:
Then click Save and reload the page. Does it make any difference?

Thank you so much Neelfyn!
This helped in both browsers.

Hi,
Could you help me please block an ad? I'm sure this is an ad that can be halted since it is so in my other, Mozilla based browser. Please find enclosed both screenshots.
Let me also note that AdBlock does't appear in the right click menu in this page, does though in other sites. The 'Report an ad' button doesn't work from this either, it sticks with Check for malware that could be injecting ads
Thanks a lot,George

Hi George,
I'm sorry to ask, but would you mind creating a ticket for this on our new support site, help.getadblock.com? We're not using this one for active support anymore. Thanks!
