Ad Block not working after Chrome Update?
This comment was split from the discussion: Ad Block not working after Chrome Update?
Adblock isn't working on my machine either. The options don't load. In fact the whole thing doesn't work. This happens every now and again on all my machines and is such a pain. I wish Adblock was a stable program. It's very good but having to uninstall reinstall two or three times a year or more is a pain.

I have moved your comment into its own discussion so that the original discussion doesn't get spammed.
This is strange - AdBlock is completely stable.
What version of AdBlock is installed (top-right of AdBlock button > Options)
What browser are you using (browser-detection seems to think you're on Firefox for some reason)

I synched the machine with another one through Chrome (31.0.1650.57 m) and
the it came back. I don't know how the options did as they shouldn't have
been affected but they did. Also I would not have been able to tell you
before what version it was because when I clicked it I got a very small
white panel and that was all. Version 2.6.14 I don't have Firefox on this
machine. I do have it on the other one I synched with but I don't have
Adblock or any extensions on Firefox as I don't use it any more than IE, in
other words only in desperation.
So I'm ok now, but this is not the first time this has happened its
happened at least four times in total. This is the first time it ever came
back. Before I had to delete, reinstall and copy in the filters that I
learned to save because it may crash again.
Anyway thanks for contacting me.
Everything is fine so that's that
and back to work for me.

AdBlock do not make extensions for Firefox. Maybe you are thinking of AdBlock Plus?
There should be no need for your AdBlock to keep crashing, and we would like to help solve this for you.
Please respond if you would like support in fixing this.

No, it was you that said in one email that my browser was being reported as
Firefox. I said I don't use it and don't have it on this machine. I don't
use Ad Block Plus on any machine.

Hey I just wanted to add my 2 cents. It seems like adblock breaks every time I close and reopen my browser. I am able to reproduce this. I have to uninstall, and reinstall for it to function properly. But if I close the browser and open it again, it's broken again. Left clicking the icon does nothing, and if I look at the Filter Lists tab, the filters are gone. I uninstall and reinstall, and it works normal until I close it again.
I also believe this is Chrome related, because I tried to use Adblock Plus thinking Adblock was broken, but the same thing happens!

same problem ... can only fix by uninstalling and reinstalling adblock .. then shuts down again when reopening chrome. Also, left clicking the adblock icon top right corner does nothing until you reinstall adbock - then it works again. Have delete and reinstall EVERY time i load chrome. What's Up????

If Adblock Plus also does this, then it probably is a Chrome issue. See
http://crbug.com to report the issue.

Critical update this morning. The cursor malfunctions. Do a system restore.
Cursor works but Adblock doesn't. Popup has lines but no text.
Last time this happened was a few weeks ago. I am using Chrome 31.0.1650.57
m on Windows 7.

Same thing. Back to pop up having lines but no text. No idea why this time.

Hello,
Do you still have this issue with Chrome v34?
Kind Regards,
