AdBlock doesn't remove or filter unwanted web content but only visually hide it on the screen
Hi,
I have just found out that actually AdBlock doesn't remove or filter unwanted web content but only visually hide it on the screen. This is a major design flaw as there are multiple situations when cleaned and filtered page content should be further processed by another browser plugins (extensions) and sometimes exported to a file.
My case is as follows:
- setup AdBlock rules for target website to filter and refine
content (remove unwanted text blocks, structurs, ads, images, etc
and keep only needed content) - run another browser
extension/plugin against AdBlock output and store the result to a
file with desired format (HTML, CHM, DF, etc).
Regards,
Alexey

Hi Alexey,
AdBlock does both block and hide content, depending on what's possible or efficient with the way it currently works. Can you please provide a specific example of what you're trying to do, perhaps a specific website?
