Youtube thumbnails loading slow

For the past couple of days I've noticed that youtube thumbnails, inparticular the ones on my subscription page, take a long time to load (5 seconds instead of <1). Unfortunately the page is unresponsive till they do so all I can do is wait.

I disabled each extension and plug in until I found it to be this one that was causing the problem. I hope there's a fix in the near future.

YouTube was working on an AdBlock fix to keep their ads in, which they just launched, so you are probably getting commercials on YouTube again. I couldn't comment out the ad without losing the video so hopefully they come up with a fix for the fix! :)

Yeah same here, the thumbnails on subscription page of youtube is very slow to load when adblock is enabled. After disabling it, the page loaded much faster.

I'm having the exact same problem and AdBlock seems to be the culprit.

    Hi all,

Thanks for the reports! Can you please:

    1. Go to AdBlock button -> Options -> SUPPORT -> "Have our team requested some debug info?" and paste it into this discussion.
    2. Go to the FILTER LISTS tab. Does clicking "update now" fix the problem?
    3. Uncheck all filter lists on the same page and reload the page with the problem. Does the problem disappear?
      • If unchecking all filter lists fixes the problem, which one filter list must you check to cause the problem again after another reload? (make sure to wait for it to fetch the filter first)

Easy, just click "don't run on this page for the subbox and leave it running for the rest of the domain."

I wonder what YT are up to though.

Where do I find the "don't run on this page" button? Is there an option in the ABP chrome extension? I don't see it.
