Sometimes I can't quit Chrome at all when this happens and have to reboot my laptop to make it go away. Also, I don't know who this "Ad by jak" person is but s/he's EVERYWHERE (on your page too) and is constantly defeating any and all attempts at blocking them. Everything was working great with AdBlock until earlier this week. All of a sudden, popups started popping up constantly no matter what I did to filter them out. It's driving me nuts! Oh, and the popup tabs are under the guise of "Apple Support, click here you might have a virus!" Seriously? Is anyone falling for that? I just want it to stop.

Hi prtfvr,
The ads you're seeing are caused by malware on your computer. AdBlock can only block ads that were on webpages in the first place.
We recommend following the instructions on The Safe Mac's Adware Removal Guide, running an antivirus/antimalware scan, and removing any browser extensions you don't remember installing.
You can also find further instructions in our Knowledge Base.
