Adblock causes marketwatch.com to freeze
When I remove adblock, marketwatch.com works normally. Adding it again causes the same freeze. This is google chrome, latest edition.

How many of these lists are required for it to actually work? From: Rhana <[email blocked]>

Checking EasyList causes the problem. However, without it, Adblock does not seem to really do anything.

Hi Kent,
The two filter lists you absolutely need are AdBlock (Custom) and EasyList. However, never fear! You don't need to keep EasyList disabled. This was reported to the EasyList maintainers a couple of days ago. Someone posted a workaround. Would you mind trying it and letting us know whether it helps?

Hi Kent,
OK, go ahead and remove those two custom filters. This is really a filter list issue, not specifically AdBlock. I reported it to the folks who maintain EasyList. Hopefully, someone will look into this soon. We don't have any control over that, however.
I'll post back here when (if) I hear from them. In the meantime, can you try using a different browser such as Firefox or Opera, with AdBlock running, and see if that makes a difference?

Apparently I am the only one using Adblock, ha ha. The screen grab from firefox is below. Do you ever try it yourself?

Hi Kent,
Sure, we try to replicate the issues that are reported. Often we're unable to, unless the problem is with AdBlock itself. Even then we may not see exactly what the user does, because of all the variables involved.
Do you still get that error you saw in Firefox when you pause AdBlock? Also, I can't quite tell from your reply, is the site working in Firefox?

Hi Kent,
The EasyList maintainers fixed this issue over the weekend. Please click the AdBlock button and select Options, and then on the FILTER LISTS tab click update now. Does that change anything?
