Custom filter list partially deleting its contents when I add stuff

I think ads are a good way to make content free. However, I do not want to get annoyed by them. That is why I've set up a custom filter list.
I block websites if they manage to annoy me a lot within a minute after I go there. I also have youtube blocked because I often listen to playlists with music and the (usually extremely loud) ads are the most annoying this ever. That's why I installed adblock. I do want to support the people I'm subscribed to though. That's why I whitelist (most of) them.
I have a problem with this though. If I get annoyed by a website and I want to block it, than my entire youtube-whitelist list gets removed, and the website still shows all of the ads. When I click 'enable adblock on this page' it doesn't look like it registers my click, but every click gets added to the filter list.
I have this problem on both my laptop and desktop.

Is this a known problem? Do you have any idea how I can fix this?

This is my current list:

    Hi Michiel,

    Hm. Can you please:

    1. Click the AdBlock button and select Options, then click SUPPORT. Next to "Have our team requested some debug info?" click here. Paste the text from the box into this discussion.
    2. Click the FILTER LISTS tab and then click update now. Does that change anything?
    3. If the problem persists, uncheck all the lists on the filter lists page and reload the page where you’re seeing the problem. Does that change anything?
    4. If unchecking all the filter lists fixes the problem, re-enable the lists one by one, reloading the page where you’re seeing the problem after each. (Make sure to wait for AdBlock to fetch the list before reloading the page.) Which list causes the problem to happen again?
    5. If unchecking all the filter lists did not fix the problem, try the same thing with your browser extensions: Disable all of them, then re-enable the extensions one by one, reloading the problem page after each. Which extension causes the problem to happen again?

    1. Nothing happens. I have this problem for quite a while now. So I doubt that updating the filter list will work. But I'll try anything if I have to :)

    2. Not sure why and how I should test this since the problem is with the custom filter list and not one website or so.

    Hi Michiel,

The issue may be with your custom filters, or it may be interference with (or by) one of the standard filter lists. That's why it really helps to disable all the lists, then re-enable them one by one to see which one causes the problem to happen again.

Similarly, if it doesn't look like a filter list (or a custom filter) is causing it, it can help to eliminate extension conflicts as a possible cause.

But you know what? Before you try this with the filter lists, let's have you do the same thing with your custom filters. That is, remove them all, then put them back in one at a time, checking the YouTube channel whitelisting after each. You'll need to save them to a text file first. :)

    Hello,

The problem happens even when Adblock is the only add-on installed and when all lists are disabled.
I also tried to make the list again, but when adding the whitelisted youtube channels it only keeps the last 5. (That was how it went the previous times I tried it over the past months)

    Hi Michiel,

Odd! I'll ask our developers if they've seen this behavior before. I'll post back here when I know more. Thanks for your patience!
