Hi Chris,
We're aware of an issue with fetching the AdBlock Custom filter list when running Windows XP. While we fix it, we've come up with a workaround. Can you please try this and let us know if it helps?

The issue with the Malware Protection list is the same; however, the same workaround won't fix it. We'll post back here when we have a solution!

Hi Chris,
Today we released an update to AdBlock, version 2.44, that fixes the filter list issue you reported. You should receive the update automatically within a day or two (if you haven't already received it by now).
Please let us know if AdBlock is still having trouble updating those lists!
