This is an issue with Chrome rather than AdBlock and can happen
with any extension. It seems to be related to where Chrome expects
to find downloaded files. There are two workarounds.

The first one is the easier of the two. Make sure that Chrome is
set to download files to a local folder (that is, a folder on your
computer):

In the address bar type chrome://settings.

Scroll down and select Show advanced
settings.

Scroll down to Downloads. If the download
location is not something like "C:\Users\your username\Downloads,"
then click Change, find the Downloads folder,
select it, and click OK.

Install AdBlock from either the
Chrome Web Store or https://getadblock.com.

If the download location is already your local Downloads folder,
or if these steps don't fix the issue, then try a fresh
installation of Chrome. I found a video that explains how to do
that. We didn't make it, but let us know if you run into trouble
and we'll try to help!
