English only!

Please answer the following questions so that we can process your bug report, otherwise, we may have to ignore it.
Also, please put your name, or a screen name, and your email above so that we can contact you if needed.
If you don't want your report to be made public, check that box, too.

Can you provide detailed steps on how to reproduce the problem?

  1. i run adblock
  2. the ad disappears but the subject line on gmail messages along with the categories on the left (all mail, sent mail, etc) disappears as well

What should happen when you do the above steps
adblock should leave the rest of gmail alone

What actually happened?

Do you have any other comments? If you can, can you please attach a screenshot of the bug?

--- The questions below are optional but VERY helpful. ---

If unchecking all filter lists fixes the problem, which one filterlist must you check to cause the problem again after another restart?

Technical Chrome users: Go to chrome://extensions ->Developer Mode -> Inspect views: background page -> Console. Paste the contents here:

    Hi Leonard,

    Can you please:

    1. Click the AdBlock button and select Options, and then on the FILTER LISTS tab click update now. Does that change anything?
    2. On the CUSTOMIZE tab, copy all of your custom filters to a text file for safekeeping, then delete them. Be sure to click Save! Does that change anything?
    3. If the problem persists, uncheck all the lists on the filter lists page and reload the page where you’re seeing the problem. Does that change anything?
    4. If unchecking all the filter lists fixes the problem, re-enable the lists one by one, reloading the page where you’re seeing the problem after each. (Make sure to wait for AdBlock to fetch the list before reloading the page.) Which list causes the problem to happen again?
    5. If unchecking all the filter lists did not fix the problem, try the same thing with your browser extensions: Disable all of them, then re-enable the extensions one by one, reloading the problem page after each. Which extension causes the problem to happen again?

    Hi Leonard,

    Aha! Well, let's see if we can narrow down which of those filters is causing this to happen. Copy the filters back into the Custom Filters box one by one, reloading your mailbox page after each. Which filter causes the problem to happen again?

    all these:

    mail.google.com##DIV[class= <http://mail.google.com#%23DIV[class=>"y6"]

    mail.google.com##DIV[class= <http://mail.google.com#%23DIV[class=>"y6"]

    mail.google.com##DIV[class= <http://mail.google.com#%23DIV[class=>"y6"]

    mail.google.com##DIV[class= <http://mail.google.com/#%23DIV[class=>"y6"]

    i've deleted them and copied the remaining filters back and gmail now seems
    to be okay. is this problem likely to recur?

    Hi Leonard,

    It shouldn't, as long as you don't put those filters back. :)
