YouTube appears as HTML page when AdBlock is enabled

Hi guys

I am running Chrome on my Mac. AdBlock has worked perfectly for me at blocking ads on YouTube since I installed it about a month ago. Now, this morning, when I opened YouTube, it appeared as an HTML page, as you would find if you needed to open a page if you had a slow connection. When I opened Chrome using Incognito, YouTube opened normally. I experimented by restarting the Mac and clearing my browser history. When these didn't work, I did the following:
1.Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
2. Select More Tools.
3. Select Extensions.
4. On the Extensions page, unselect the "Enabled" checkbox for the extension you'd like to temporarily remove.

YouTube had opened normally in Incognito mode because I hadn't enabled AdBlock in Incognito. I experimented with this too, and, when I enabled AdBlock in Incognito, YouTube opened in the same HTML format. Now I have had to disable AdBlock in order to view YouTube properly, but, of course, I am now getting ads before the videos.

    Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for your report! An issue with the Malware Protection filter list caused YouTube to flake out today.

The folks who maintain the list quickly corrected the problem and released an update. To get it, just refresh your filter lists:

    1. Click the AdBlock button and select Options.
    2. On the FILTER LISTS tab, click update now.

If this doesn't help, please let us know! Just reply to this email to reopen the discussion.
