Advertising is important to alot of people, I find alot of cool stuff through adds. I dont want all the adds gone, I just want video/flash based ones gone as they are the only one that really causes any lag. I love seeing pictures and text advertisements. Is there a way to do this?

Oh also sound based ones....nothing more annoying then having to hunt down what is making that awful racket. Everything else is fine and desired.

    Hi DeathsAdvocate,

Most of video and audio ads use Flash (as well as other Flash ads, of course), so perhaps a different solution for this would be to use Chrome's "Click to play" setting for plug-ins? This will require a click on any Flash object for it to load and play.

You can find more details about this on Chrome's support site, in the "Run or block plug-ins" section.
