AB not blocking on browser restart

When I have pages which get restores upon restarting my browser ads get through. Apparently AdBlock either doesn't get loaded early enough to block them or it is missing them because they are "already open" tabs. Is this typical for anyone else or am I just luck that way? Other than closing all tabs when I exit my browser or setting it not to restore my tabs is there any way to avoid having to reload a page in order to block the ads.

I've briefly looked into the code (for the purpose of making a custom swap-out build that replaces most blocked content with "null content" that still meets the specifications of the original content) and my suspicion is that AdBlock indeed does ignore tabs that had already started loading by the time AdBlock itself was loaded.

Personally, when I restart the browser and it had a bunch of tabs open, I cut my network connection so I won't have to wait so long for the browser to relaunch (unlike Firefox, there is no way to have Chrome only load the tab when it is selected), and as a side effect, when I do get back to any given tab (of course, after reconnecting to the Internet), AdBlock has already loaded and is ready to block ads.

Of course, this workaround is by no means practical as a general solution.

JELII, Yes, that would work but it is kludgy. Opera also has no option to only load the tab once it is selected. And I suspect that a real solution may not be possible without one of the two method but at least it's something for the developers to look at in order to determine if there something that can be done within the extension itself.

Yes, it is still an issue. At present, I am simply reloading the page to kill the ads.

    Thank you.
