yahoo sponsored ad

i keep getting the sponsored ad and cannot seem to block them.

here is the usual format:

us-mg6.mail.yahoo.com##DIV[id="yui_3_16_0_1_1436552648720_1757"][class="adlink"]

here is the filter i made which doesnt seem to work:

us-mg6.mail.yahoo.com##DIV[id="*"][class="*"]

i am curious why the "*" universal key doesnt work?

   forgot to mention this is a sponsored ad in yahoo mail... and thanks for the help! :)

   Hi Todd,

   Can you please try using one of these custom filters and let us know if you still see ads at the top of your Yahoo mailbox?

   mail.yahoo.com##div#msg-list .list-view .ml-bg

   For users in the Southeastern U.S or if the above filter hides the entire email list:

   mail.yahoo.com##div#msg-list .list-view .ml-bg:not(.list-view-item-container)

   [DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS]

   1. Click the AdBlock button in your browser extensions bar and select Options.
      
   2. Click the CUSTOMIZE tab.
      
   3. Next to "Manually edit your filters" click Edit.
      
   4. Paste this into the text box: mail.yahoo.com##div#msg-list .list-view .ml-bg
      
   5. Click Save.
      
   6. Refresh your Yahoo mail page.
