Windows 8.1 update popup

I just got this computer working again after paying $300 for Acer support then another $100 to buy the discs for Windows 8 that was originally on this computer, all because I kept refusing the Windows 8.1 update, until it finally automatically installed and the wrecked my harddrive..

Now again, I am being prompted to install Windows 8.1....I do not want to...but how can I get rid of that popup. I have set my computer to let me decide what and when to download..but what else.

I would appreciate any help on this.

    Hi Judy,

I found this article on the web: How to stop the automatic forced upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. Hope it helps!
