    Hi harsha,

The behavior you're seeing is most likely caused by malware on your computer, possibly a browser extension installed without your knowledge. Can you please:

    1. Attach a screenshot that shows the list of extensions you have installed. (If one of the extensions has a notation "Not from Chrome Web Store" it's a pretty good indicator it's malware.)
    2. Uninstall any suspect extensions or extensions you don't remember installing.
    3. Scan your computer using MalwareBytes Free and let us know what it finds. We're not affiliated with them in any way. Their software just seems to pick up malicious software that other antiviruses miss.
    4. If it finds anything, remove the malware.
    5. Recreate your Chrome profile.
    6. Reinstall AdBlock from https://getadblock.com.
    7. Restart Chrome.

Let us know if AdBlock is still being uninstalled.

Please see the following articles for more information about malware:

    Hi Harsha,

We've been getting a lot of reports like yours recently. A few users have told us that uninstalling Chrome and reinstalling it fixed the issue for them. Can you please try that and let us know if it helps?

    Hi Harsha,

Just to confirm, you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome, not just AdBlock, yes? To be sure, here are the full instructions I'd like you to try, if you wouldn't mind.

    1. Recreate your Chrome profile.
    2. Reinstall AdBlock from https://getadblock.com.
    3. Restart Chrome.

If AdBlock is STILL being uninstalled:
    1. Uninstall Chrome.
    2. Reinstall both Chrome and AdBlock.
    3. Restart Chrome.

Please let us know what, if any of this, fixes the problem.

    Hi Harsha,

Again, just to confirm, you did all six of the troubleshooting steps I suggested?

Can you please reinstall AdBlock if necessary, restart your computer (not just your browser), restart your browser, and tell me whether AdBlock is still there?
