Webpage is hijacked by a popup requesting to turn off ad blockers

See attached screen shot. This popup renders all mouse activities unusable except to quit safari, if you choose not to hot "OK"

    Hi Greg,

    I see this as well. It's all right to click OK. Forgive me if you already know this, but this is what's called a "modal" window. It's widely used not just on web pages but in all kinds of applications. It's not malware itself, but can be misused to deliver malware on web pages. If you click OK your mouse will behave again and you can get to the content on that site.

    That said, it's a pain to have to keep clicking OK to browse the site. If you're on a site that's refusing to show content if AdBlock is installed, please follow the instructions in this Knowledge Base article about websites detecting AdBlock and let us know how it goes!

    A quick alternative is just to disable AdBlock on that site. Click the AdBlock button and select Don't run on pages on this domain, and then click Exclude.
