AdBlock and Ad Impressions
HI!
I am a marketer who is — believe it or not — a huge fan of Adblock. I work for an Inbound Marketing Agency and we encourage our clients to generate real content and not bore people with irrelevant banner/sidebar ads. I am writing a blog post on allocating more resources to content creation and less resources to digital advertising. I had a question about the relationship between Adblock and ad impressions. Will digital ad agencies still consider something "an impression" if a user lands on a page with Adblock enabled? I know when I visit a page with ads I get red notifications from AB letting me know how many ads have been blocked on a given page. I'm curious as to whether or not these are still "counted" as ad impressions.
Thanks!
Zach

Hi Zach,
Ads that are blocked are not counted because they're never downloaded. I believe that may also be the case with ads that are hidden, but I'll confirm this with our developers.
