I visit Ars Technica and their terms of use disallow ad
blockers. So I added the site to the whitelist with:
But I just cannot handle the outbrain ads that appear in a single
div. So I want to keep running AdBlock on all sites, but would like
for all ads to be visible when I'm visiting Ars Technica, EXCEPT
for a single div.

I tried removing the whitelist entry and adding this:
arstechnica.com##div[id="outbrain-recs-wrap"]
arstechnica.com#@#div[id="topBanner728x90_frame"]
arstechnica.com#@#div[id="xrailTop300x250_frame"]
arstechnica.com#@#div[class="column-video-overlay"]
arstechnica.com#@#div[id="xrailBottom300x251_frame"]
so that it would block the outbrain div but allow the divs for the
other ads. But after I saved it, the other ads are still
blocked.

Is there a way to whitelist the domain but still allow AdBlock
to block one specific div? Maybe something like, I dunno,
@@<a href="http://arstechnica.com$document~##div[id="outbrain-recs-wrap"]">http://arstechnica.com$document~##div[id="outbrain-recs-wrap&q...
I'm not saying that should work, but it would be great if you could
put in an exception while whitelisting...

sneakyarsusertag:old-support.getadblock.com,2013-08-06:Comment/385347162015-11-24T21:53:50Z2015-11-24T21:53:50ZShow all ads on a website except for one div?

Hi!

I believe whitelisting is either all or nothing. However, I've
asked our developers if they have any suggestions.
