As a browser extension, AdBlock works on any website you visit,
but it works only on websites. That is, if you visit
Facebook, Twitter, Google, CNN, YouTube, and so on, in your browser
(Chrome or Safari), you should not see intrusive advertising.
However, if you use the Facebook app, Twitter app, YouTube app, and
so on, rather than visiting their websites, you will see all
ads.

It looks as if you are using Chrome on your Mac, and that
AdBlock is working in Chrome. If you would like to use Safari,
please follow these instructions to
install AdBlock in Safari. Let us know if you run into any
trouble, or if this isn't what you were looking to do!

Great, glad we could help! Yes, AdBlock is what we call
"honor-ware," meaning that while we encourage happy users to pay
what they can afford, we don't require payment.
