Why does AdBlock require a VPN connection on my iphone (which is using up a lot of my data minutes)?

Hi Richard,
Hm, you're the second person to report this. AdBlock for Mobile by Betafish doesn't require a VPN connection. Can you please confirm, is that the ad blocker you're trying to install?

It's been installed for 3 months and worked fine. All of a sudden my
"data" usage with my carrier has gone from minor to 2GB a day. Yours is
the only new app so I assume it's that. I turned VPN off. When I click
on the adblock app on my iphone it says "adblock is off" Fix Adblock which
says "it seems like you can't connect to the VPN server"

Hi Richard,
That's very odd. Did you set up a VPN configuration on your phone? If so, can you try disabling it entirely and see if that makes a difference? Also, what happens to your data usage if you uninstall AdBlock?
