Simple question - I downloaded AdBlock and contributed a donation. I assume there are some preference or settings files but am unable to locate them in Applications or documents.

I can't even tell whether it has been installed as I am always returned to your home page with the suggestion I download the application.

Hi Bob,
First, thank you for your payment! AdBlock is a browser extension, not an application. You should see it listed in Safari > Preferences > Extensions. You should also see the AdBlock button in Safari's extensions bar. It looks like a gray stop sign with a white hand inside it.
If you're not seeing either of those, can you please reinstall AdBlock and let us know if that helps?

Rhana-
Thanks for advice. Extensions tells me that it has been installed, but I do not see it listed in my Downloads folder. I see no grey stop sign with a white hand. Does it operate automatically or do I have to start it or give it some preferences.
Just in case this is helpful: my Safari Preferences are to block cookies from third parties.

Hi Bob,
You won't see it in your Downloads, since extensions don't make it out of the browser. Although they are downloaded, they're "scooped up" (immediately installed) by the browser before they become more than a temporary file in your Downloads folder.
AdBlock starts working as soon as it's installed. There are some settings you can change. Normally you would click the AdBlock button in the extensions bar and select Options. Since you're not seeing that, however, you can get to AdBlock's options through Safari's Extensions list.
In AdBlock's entry in the Extensions list, do you by any chance see something that says Show button?
If you don't, can you please uninstall and reinstall AdBlock and let us know if that changes anything?

When I go the extensions sub-menu I get the following:
If I click on Safari AdBlock I go back to the download/install web page.

Hi Bob,
My apologies, I was still thinking of the Chrome version of AdBlock. Safari works differently.
Right-click Safari's toolbar and select Customize Toolbar. Under **Drag your favorite items into the toolbar..." find the AdBlock button and drag it up into Safari's toolbar.
Please let me know if you don't see the AdBlock button among Safari's toolbar items.
