If you're not on any social media sites, there is no need to
block ads there. :) Can you please clarify what you mean by "If
not, how do I unselect?"

The counters on the AdBlock menu show the number of ads blocked
on that particular page and the total of all ads blocked since you
installed AdBlock. You can see the resources (ads and other things
each website downloads, or tries to download, onto your computer).
Click the AdBlock button and select Show
all requests. That information is all we store. It changes
from site to site and is replaced the next time you visit.

Does this help?

The number of blocks seems to grow every day. Does the program

The running total is maintained until you remove AdBlock from
your browser. When you reinstall AdBlock, the count is reset.

I'm not sure what the "social media" option is. It doesn't sound
like part of AdBlock. Can you please click the AdBlock
button and select Options, then click
SUPPORT. Next to "Have our team requested
some debug info?" click here and paste
the text from the box into this discussion.

Ah! You're using Adblock Plus (ABP), not AdBlock. ABP is an
entirely unrelated extension developed by a different company. We
get this all the time. :)

You can reach ABP at http://adblockplus.org.

Adblock Plus (ABP) is an ad blocker, but it isn't developed by
our company. It's a completely separate, unrelated product. Why the
names are so similar is an interesting it of Internet history, but
that's probably more than you care to know. :)

When you visit http://adblockplus.org, select

Well, we think ours is better and our users seem to agree. :)
Why not give AdBlock a try? You can always go back to using ABP if
you find it suits your needs better. Don't run them both at the
same time, though. That just slows your browser unnecessarily.

And I'm glad you've found my suggestions helpful. That's why I'm
here!

Oh, Safari! Sorry about that. Open Safari >
Preferences > Extensions. Find ABP in the list and
click Uninstall. Then
