Give an option to mute youtube ads
With google starting a new policy to attempt to bypass all forms of adblock and punish people who use it, maybe instead of getting into an "update war" you could add an option to mute the ads when they appear but let them play regardless. the adds still serve their intended purpose, but you don't have to listen to them, you can just let them pass by quietly and get on with what you intended to watch.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll pass it to our developers for consideration.
