Flash ads are always unacceptable for security reasons.

My primary use of adblock is for security. We've all had to update Flash a dozen times in the past year due to severe security holes. As long as companies (lets cut out the BS) As long as Google continues to allow sourcing of flash ads not hosted or vetted by Google, I will have to continue to block ALL of them, and everyone else should too if they dont want to wake up to find 12 different russian and chinese crypto-locking programs on their computer.

I don't care about animated gifs, static images or text, but flash ads are a serious problem.

    Hi,

Have you considered using Chrome's built-in click-to-play functionality for Flash? You can choose this one, for example:

"Let me choose when to run plugin content: Chrome will stop any plugins from running automatically. You can run specific plugins by right-clicking on them and choosing Run this plugin."

You could probably find a way to block everything Flash with AdBlock, but this might be a better solution, as it accounts for those times when you actually need Flash to watch a video or animation.
