1x1 pixel ads?
With an increasing number of video sites not functioning when AdBlock is switched on how about functionality that lets ads be loaded but changes the CSS so that size is always 1x1 pixel? This, in theory, should allow ads to load but not be displayed. There may be some formatting issues I would assume but it could be a nice option to have that would work with some sites. Thanks.

Hi Stephen,
Thanks for your suggestion! We've gone back and forth over something like this for a while now. Is it ethical to download ads, thus making the site owner and advertisers think the ads are being seen, but not show them? Someone somewhere along the line is being cheated that way. Maybe it's the advertisers, and few people would feel much sympathy for them. Still, we don't like cheating anyone.
We would prefer to work to find a better way to fund the web. Right now, that means making better ads, honestly. That's why we made the difficult decision to participate in the Acceptable Ads initiative. It's not perfect by any means! It's only a start. And we will always make it easy for users to disable ads entirely, and we will always try to find ways to enforce users' choices on sites that refuse to work with an ad blocker running.
Sorry for the rather long-winded reply to your very good suggestion! :)
