Video Ads
Any possibility of blocking video clips or video ads?
My trigger is HuffPost, which has tacked involuntary ads to the front of their video clips for years. I simply don't play the videos, and read the stories below them. They recently started a new thing; the videos self play. There is a short delay, so it is really fun when I have several tabs open, and one or more of them starts barking an ad at the same time, and I can't find it.
Huffpost is certainly out of control, but is hardly the only culprit. Blue sky of course would be the ability to strip a pre or post content ad selectively, but I would be happy with just preventing self playing. It is a feature I would pay for in a heartbeat.
Your thoughts are welcome.

At the moment, it is impossible for us to block video ads in Safari for anything other than YouTube (and even with that we've got a bug).
If you want video ads blocked, you will need to install it on Chrome or Opera.

CS,
Too bad, thanks for taking the time to respond.
Any prognosis for Safari?
Mike

For fixing the YouTube bug - we're working on it, but haven't worked out
why yet.
For implementing video ad blocking in Safari - it is impossible, as Safari
doesn't provide the right infrastructure for us to do it.
