Feature request: Option to load but do not display
Bottom Line Up Front:
Create an option to pull add data from the server then discard the
add data without ever displaying it.
Pro:
Prevents website from knowing whether or not a viewer has seen or
blocked an add.
Con:
Uses more bandwidth (mitigated by making this an option)
Discussion:
Websites with adds may depend on revenue from serving adds or may
choose to display limited data to viewers using Adblock.
For a user who has the bandwidth to spare, simply pulling the data
from the adserver would prevent the serving page from knowing if
Adblock is installed and modifying the information released to the
viewer.
The program would filter out all unwanted data after it is
downloaded but before it is displayed.
Summery:
Allow an option for users to chose to waste bandwidth downloading
information in order to fool the server. Either way, the ad-data
will not be displayed or run. The choice is whether the data is
screened before being fetched or after fetch but before being
displayed.

Unfortunately, this is considered fraud, as the ad companies are having to
pay for nothing to happen.
