request: silent install no splash page when installing from group policy network installation

First of all, love AdBLock, been using and contributing for years.

Chrome allows for group policy to manage Chrome settings, one GPO is ExtensionInstallForcelist which can be used to install AdBlock automatically network wide. However, the AdBlock install page asking for a donation still loads on automatic installations. For schools installing AdBlock on student accounts this is not desirable. I would suggest that AdBlock checks Chrome to see if a policy exists for ExtensionInstallForcelist (indicating a network installation) and if so do a completely silent install.

Thanks!

    Hi Jim,

Thanks for the suggestion! I've passed this on to our developers. We would definitely like to simplify the installation for corporate or school environments.

If you have any experience in making Chrome extensions in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery, please take a look at http://code.getadblock.com and send us a patch as an attachment! Our code is licensed under the GNU GPLv3.
