Hide Gmail ads in "Promotions Tab"
Gmail has started showing ads in the "Promotions Tab" (see attached). Would it be possible to remove these similar to how AdBlock handles other ads?

Hi Chris,
Can you please go to AdBlock button -> Options -> SUPPORT -> "Have our team requested some debug info?" and paste it into this discussion?

Does it change anything if you click the AdBlock icon > Options > Filter lists > update now, and reload the page?

No I does not. Gmail still showing ads in "promotions tab"

I think it's important to note that the ads appear with the thumbnails enabled in the promotions tabs. If I switch from the thumbnails grid to the standard list view, the ads disappear. If I switch back to the thumbnails grid view (like in Chris's original post) the ad reappears.

Chris — the debug data says that you are using AdBlock 2.9.3, can you please update to 2.10.3 if it didn't auto-update yet, and let us know if you're still experiencing this issue?
Al — can you please also provide the debug info from AdBlock button -> Options -> SUPPORT -> "Have our team requested some debug info?"? Thanks!

Was the debug info helpful? I'm currently using AdBlock 2.10.3 Stable.

Hi Al,
You've got the latest version of AdBlock, but not the latest version of Chrome. Would you mind updating to Chrome 38 and let us know if it changes anything?

I just updated to the latest version of Chrome. Below is the debug info (the first debug info was from my Mac and the second if from my PC, but the filter lists are up to date on both). Also, I've attached a screen shot showing the Ad in the promotions tab while in 'grid' view:

Hello,
Sorry for the late reply. Does this issue still occurs?
Kind Regards,
Jérémy K
Happy Holidays!

Yes, this is still happening.

Hi everyone,
Please make sure that you are running AdBlock v2.15, you have updated filter lists and updated Chrome browser. If this issue still does happen, go to GMail, click on AdBlock button -> Block an ad on this page.
Try to hide this ad with ad-blocking wizard, which will pop up. This should definitely solve your problem.
Thanks,
Tomáš
