suggestion, the next time i checked it it had the status of
resolved without any replies. I would appreciate it if someone
could address my concern about the installation progress bar that
appears when AdBlock is installing. It would be nice if the
installation was more like any other chrome installation where the
icon of the extension would just appear without the progress bar.
That's my suggestion. Thanks.

Mehrdadtag:old-support.getadblock.com,2013-08-06:Comment/356217812014-12-24T00:36:34Z2014-12-24T00:36:35ZInstallation

I just realized that the reason imy previuos thread said
resolved was mainly because I said yes when I was asked if any of
the related articles solved my problem. I should've pressed no then
I believe my previous thread would've remained open. My
apologies.

Mehrdadtag:old-support.getadblock.com,2013-08-06:Comment/356217812014-12-24T17:20:39Z2014-12-24T17:20:39ZInstallation

Hi Mehrdad,

Apologies for the confusion! Our system does indeed
automatically mark discussions as resolved when related articles
solve the problem.

As for the progress bar, it actually gives the time for the
extension to initialize itself and fetch the filters. I can however
confirm that AdBlock does not install anything other than itself on
your computer — AdBlock does not have access to anything
outside of your browser.

Neelfyn
